Stop my agent
If you are the person accountable for a C=US agent, you can stop it here, or stop all of your agents at once, and restart them later. You confirm each action with your own passkey: a YubiKey, Windows Hello, Touch ID or a phone. A stop takes effect on the agent's next request, at the agent gateway, in the trust registry and at every service that asks it. How stops work is explained on the kill switch page.
1. Confirm who you are
Your passkey proves you are the person the directory names as accountable. You will see only the agents you answer for.

Each action asks for your passkey again, on purpose: one confirmation authorizes exactly one action, so nothing can reuse it. You can restart only what you stopped; a stop from another system (a kill signal) needs an administrator.
First time: register your passkey
Ask a C=US administrator for an enrollment code. It is made for you, works once and expires within a day. After you register, an administrator reviews your passkey and adds it to the directory; until then it cannot stop anything.
What this does and does not do
- It withdraws authority. The agent's program keeps running on its own machine, but everything that asks C=US refuses it.
- It is recorded. Each stop and restart, with the passkey signature that confirmed it, is kept and signed into the gateway's evidence log.
- It works only here. A passkey is bound to cequs.com; a page anywhere else cannot use it.
- This is a demonstration. The accountable people are synthetic, and identity proofing is simulated.
